About Me

My Hometown(s)

📍Dalian, China — a small seaport city where I jet-skied and grilled fresh fish over charcoal, savoring time with my family.

📍Plainsboro, New Jersey — this is where I came to know my chosen family: my best friends, and my boyfriend. It’s the Garden State, and my favorite place is the Jersey Shore (pictured is LBI, all good vibes, iykyk).

My Background

I moved from China to New Jersey when I was ten. Growing up multicultural and as an immigrant was one of my biggest challenges as a pre-teen and teen. But after I made $$$ through my side hustles and businesses, thanks to my bilingual ability and connection to China, I realized it was actually a blessing to belong to more than one world.

My Education

I am currently a junior undergraduate at Parsons School of Design, majoring in BBA Strategic Design and Management. Coming to this school, and to New York City, was never part of my original plan, but now I’m completely in love with it and would do it all over again if I had a time machine. My school not only gave me technical design and business skills, but taught me to be a creative thinker, and immersed me in a culture of creatives.

My Hobbies & Interests

🌊 If you can't tell yet, I'm utterly in love with the ocean and the beach. I could spend weeks just reading while lying on the beach and listening to the waves crash. And maybe go for a swim if the water's calm!

🐶 I'm also a lifelong animal lover — I think it's because I savored a picture book about Tippi Degré ever since I was three. Now I have a cat named Holy, and my precious Meatball (my dog) recently passed.

🥁 On top of that, I'm working toward my 10,000 hours as a drummer, I enjoy weight training at the gym, and I used to play PC games — until God sent me a sign to focus on my career: my CPU got fried.

🌸 Almost forgot to mention — I can make a sick bouquet arrangement too!

A Cause Close To My Heart...

I've been a summer camp counselor at Oak Crest Day Camp (Somerset, NJ) for three years in a row now. It surprised me how quickly I fell in love with the job. I've loved it since my first year, to the point where it never even felt like work. Children are truly little angels, and their mental and physical well-being are incredibly important to me.
